Our Scholars

The Maryland Promise Scholarship Program, one of the prominent initiatives of the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation, awards scholarships to high-performing undergraduate freshmen and transfer students with financial need, admitted to the University of Maryland. Maryland Promise Scholars participate in academic programming specially designed to support academic excellence, professional development, leadership development, and community engagement. Scholars selected to participate in this prestigious program are cultivated into the next generation of leaders and community change agents, and become members of a rich legacy of the Clark Foundation’s philanthropic support of talented and hardworking students.

The Clark Challenge for the Maryland Promise Program is made possible by Building Together: An Investment for Maryland.
