What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
The University of Maryland has a nice campus and I love that it's close to my home. The education here is great too and there are many opportunities.
What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
I'm considering majoring in women's studies or maybe environmental science, but I'm still declared undecided at the moment.
Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
As of right now I don't do volunteer work because I'm still trying to get used to transitioning to the university, but in the future I plan on participating. Outside of class I'm either doing my work or hanging out with my friends.
Which programs are you enrolled in, and what have you gained from your experience in them thus far?
I am currently not a part of any programs except for the Maryland Promise Program.
Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
I hope to get better at my communication skills because, as an introvert, I haven't been talking to people as much outside of the classroom.
What are your future goals after graduation?
I want to be able to support myself and use the information I learned in college outside in the real world. All the skills I learn are going to benefit me in my life and I hope to be able to use them. I also hope to make my family proud with whatever I choose to do with my life and make the most of it while living happily.
