About

What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
I decided to enroll at the University of Maryland based on their strong tradition of educational excellence and the many opportunities that are available to students on campus.

What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
I plan on pursuing a major in landscape architecture. As long as I could remember, I have always had an interest in design and the environment. When pursuing a landscape architecture major, I hope to learn more about these things along with the importance of sustainability.

Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
During high school, I was involved in community service activities that supported my high school and the people within the community. The activities I volunteered for supported our track and cross country programs, the music department, and kids within the D.C. community as a camp counselor. As a student at the University of Maryland, I hope to become involved in similar activities that help the College Park community.

Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
As a student at the University of Maryland, I hope to have the opportunity to experience campus life as a Terp, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

What are your future goals after graduation?
After graduation, I hope to apply my knowledge that I will gain at the University of Maryland in pursuing a meaningful career that allows me to have the opportunity to give back to the community and to be creative and productive.

My favorite part of being a Maryland Promise Scholar:
Returning for my second year in the Maryland Promise Program, my favorite part of this program has been meeting the other scholars in the program and working with them at volunteer events.
