What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
I decided to enroll at the University of Maryland based on their strong tradition of educational excellence and its vast engineering resources.

What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
I plan on pursuing a career in STEM, specifically in engineering. After four years of being a member of the engineering program at my high school, I was interested in pursuing a degree in engineering in college.

Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
During high school, I was involved in community service activities that supported my high school and the people within the community. The activities I volunteered for supported our track and cross country programs, the music department, and kids within the DC community as a camp counselor. As a student at the University of Maryland, I hope to become involved in similar activities that help the College Park community.

Which programs are you enrolled in, and what have you gained from your experience in them thus far?
I am currently enrolled in the Flexus Living & Learning Program, which supports women who are studying engineering. Living in the Flexus community has given me the opportunity to live amongst other students who have similar interests and career goals. Overall, it has been a positive experience being a member of this program so far.

Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
As a student at the University of Maryland, I hope to have the opportunity to experience campus life as a Terp, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

What are your future goals after graduation?
After graduation, I hope to apply my knowledge that I will gain at the University of Maryland in pursuing a meaningful career in engineering that allows me to be both creative and productive.
