About

What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
The University of Maryland has always been my dream school. Attending UMD has allowed me to stay in-state, while still being able to attend one of the best universities in the nation.

What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
The major I am pursuing is computer science with a concentration in machine learning. I came to select this path through speaking with my brother-in-law who showed me how coding can change the world.

Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
Outside of class, I am an instructor for the Ic4 program at Maryland which allows me to teach programing and coding to middle and high school students.

Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
Aside from academics, I hope to make meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime.

What are your future goals after graduation?
After I graduate from Maryland, I would like to pursue my master's in computer science and maybe start my own business.

My favorite part of being a Maryland Promise Scholar:
The meetings we have in the Maryland Promise Program are always fun and interactive. Not only that, but they also teach me so much.
