About

What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
The University of Maryland appealed to me because it was an all-around good school that had a lot of amenities I wanted, in addition to it being really close to home. Both of my sisters and my mother attended UMD as well.

What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
I selected music performance as my career path because music has always been a huge part of my life for as long as I could remember. When I was younger, my family would be surprised at how I would be able to just pick up an instrument and play it, or how I could just name a note by hearing it.

Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
I participate in church every Saturday, as well as other church events. I also help out with the music department at my high school, as it is currently struggling with a dwindling amount of musicians. I also aid in the youth orchestra I participated in throughout high school as well.

Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
I would hope to take away invaluable, lifelong friends during my time here. Invaluable skills aside from those learned through academics, a broader and more open-minded view on the world and the type of people in it, and perhaps even a significant other, are all things I hope to take from my time at Maryland.

What are your future goals after graduation?
After graduation, my goal is to be able to find my dream job, or at the very least start the journey that will help lead me to obtain my dream job.
