About

What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
Being my top choice school in the state of Maryland, I aspired to thrive as well as follow in the footsteps of my older relative who also attended UMD. I heard many good things about the school, but it wasn't until I participated in my five-week on-campus transitional program that I felt a sense of community and belonging to the school. I don't think I would have felt this included at any other institution, and I am forever glad I chose the University of Maryland as my home for the next four years.

What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
I plan on focusing my career path in a writing field. I have always loved acting, so if l don't choose that as a main career path, I would love to write for productions such as movies or television shows. This career path also leads me to authorship, as I have written stories for years that I would love to be published. I would also love to be a journalist, regardless of if it is international news broadcasting or governmental journalism. I am also interested in fashion journalism.

Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
Outside of class or community service/volunteer activities, I like fashion, creative writing, researching topics that interest me (such as government history in the US and other countries and quantum physics, just to name a few). I also like to cook/bake, spend time with friends and family, create art (drawing or painting), and go to work. I currently work as a team trainer at Skyzone Timonium, specializing in hosting birthday parties for people of all ages, but mainly elementary-age children.

Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
Aside from academics, I hope to gain lifelong connections and a strong sense of community from my time at Maryland.

What are your future goals after graduation?
After graduation, I hope to have a successful internship that can lead me into a career of my choosing. I will have a stable job outside of campus to support me in my needs, and I will be in connection with powerful contacts that will help me invest my talents and creativity into a path that I love.
