About

What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
I decided to enroll at the University of Maryland not just because the school offered me the most aid, but also because of its proximity to home. I also was drawn by the opportunities and support that UMD gives overall, and the Clark School by far outdoes the recourses of that of other schools I was accepted into.

What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
This past year I participated in SEAP, an engineering apprenticeship in whichI worked on turret and robotics systems. Due to this, afterI obtain my bachelor's degree, I hope to work for the Department of Defense in order to automatize systems on naval ships.

Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
Some activities I take part in outside of class include; being a VEX Robotics coach, National Honor Society events coordinator and student liaison, Math Team team lead, WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) events coordinator, and World Language National Society president and events coordinator.

Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
I hope to learn how to network and participate in internships, and hope to be part of a study abroad program for a semester to become more well-traveled.

What are your future goals after graduation?
I plan on working for the Department of Defense in robotic turret systems in order to automatize naval systems and boats.
