About
What made you decide to enroll at the University of Maryland?
I decided to enroll at the University of Maryland because of the academic and social opportunities. Also, I wanted to find some sort of community that I was not granted when I was younger. I wanted to further my education at the University of Maryland because of its location in the metro area where I can gain connections and friendships.
What major/career path do you plan on pursuing and how did you select that path?
I plan on majoring in marketing. I eventually want to double major in media/cinema studies as well. I picked these two majors because they meet a calm medium of making a profit and the ability to be creative.
Activities I do outside of class or community service/volunteer activities I'm involved with:
In high school, I was a part of the National Honor Society where we participated in community clean ups, food/clothing drives and more.
Aside from academics, what else do you hope to take away from your time at Maryland?
I want to find some sort of community. Growing up I have always felt like I had no one to relate to so I'm hoping I can achieve some sort of community of friends. I would like to also find myself and learn more about different cultures and people.
What are your future goals after graduation?
I plan on going to New York or Washington, D.C. and putting myself out there for work, whether it's in the field of marketing or media production. I just want as much experience as I can get.
